In 1979 the company was acquired by Hans Klaussner, a German entrepreneur. That's when the company adopted the name Klaussner Furniture. This company further ventured into the new furniture product market, including case goods, bedding, and even outdoor furniture. In 2009, the company made a whopping $500 million in sales and held to that number till 2013. Though it faced a few challenges in 2023 that led to a temporary closure, the company has been acquired by Jennifer Furniture.
