Our No-Reach roller light switch for the interior light is conveniently located on the back of the cabinet, so you can access it without having to open the cabinet up every time you want to turn on the light. Storage: A glass mirrored back enhances the view of your items so you can see the front and back of your items without removing them. At an early age, Howard Miller learned to appreciate the values of craftsmanship, quality and excellence. These values became the guiding principles upon which his company was founded. Although the company has changed and grown since it began over seventy years ago its commitment to excellence and to providing customers with the finest craftsmanship and quality remains intact. Miller was a visionary in the field of clock making, a craft passed down to him by his father. Though he initially specialized in chiming wall clocks and mantle clocks, in 1947 he created several innovative wall and table clocks. Several of these clocks, with names like the “Ball,” “Spike,” “Block” and “Spindle,” are considered iconic pieces today. In the 1960s, Miller crafted several trend-setting, avant garde clocks, including a line of ceramic wall clocks named “Meridian” and a group of inexpensive, plastic clocks called “Swing-Timers.” Many of these visionary styles are sought after by collectors. It was also in the 1960s that the company began crafting striking Floor Clocks and Grandfather Clocks. Then, in 1989, the company began to branch out by offering Curios or collector’s cabinets.
